A little bit about me…

My name is Ciara, founder of Be You Coaching. I’m a former RTÉ broadcaster and journalist. I made the decision to set up my own business after the birth of my little boy as I wanted to be the owner of my own time. This came with many sacrifices, sacrifices many women are faced with throughout their lives. This is why I chose to found a business offering services to women to support them personally and professionally. Be You Coaching is a women-centred and women-focused life, business, career, leadership and executive coaching service. I work with women who know there is more for them in life, who aim to be more aligned with their authentic self, and want an approach that encapsulates all areas of their lives. My aim is to support women to thrive and to get what they want in life.

I have worked across many industries and spent most of my working life in the media industry across national and local media outlets.

I worked for more than 15 years as a journalist and documentary maker producing and directing a number of documentaries of note for Virgin Media TV (or TV3 as it was called then). I also worked for Newstalk before moving to RTÉ where I spent almost 10 years working as a newsreader on RTE Radio 1, 2fm, a reporter for TV, Morning Ireland and the News at One. My work has been broadcast on all of RTÉ flagship news programmes and I have worked on all of the biggest stories over the past 10 years. During my time with RTÉ I had a number of exclusive and breaking news stories, some of which were also requested for broadcast by the BBC.
